Milan, 12 December 2025 – MTD Group has finalized the sale of Pic Solution, one of its consumer healthcare brands – along with its related operating activities – to Theras Group, an Italian health technology company active in chronic disease management.
The transaction marks a strategic evolution for MTD Group as it sharpens its focus on its core B2B business, particularly in the field of advanced drug delivery systems for injectable therapies.
MTD has built a recognized position in this domain as a development and manufacturing partner to leading pharmaceutical companies, thanks to its engineering expertise, customization capabilities, and a network of long-standing relationships in global healthcare.
As part of the agreement, MTD Group will continue to supply pen needles under a manufacturing partnership with Theras. The products, marketed under one of Italy’s most established brands in self-care, will be produced at MTD’s italian facility, a center of excellence known for its high-quality standards and industrial efficiency. The site remains one of the strategic production hubs within MTD’s European industrial footprint, which also includes advanced facilities in Poland, supporting global-scale pharma and medical device clients.
