MTD has joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative

The MTD Group is pleased to announce that it has joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative, one of the world’s largest corporate sustainability programs, which guides all companies and organizations toward aligning their strategies and operations with The Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.

The initiative, which includes more than 15,000 companies worldwide, relies on a platform of global reach and multi-stakeholder connections to help companies cooperate in setting the sustainability agenda and become a force for good.

The Group’s commitment is reflected in a sustainability strategy structured around the four pillars of the UN Global Compact, each of which is defined by specific targets aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

  1. Access to care and treatment adherence for patients and safety for health care providers, which means developing innovative solutions that enable patients to overcome barriers that prevent them from self-medicating.
  2. People safety, inclusion and empowerment through a D&I Policy defining the mission, strategy, and practices aimed at creating a work environment that values diversity.
  3. Innovation and development of products which, incorporating environmentally sound practices and materials, support environmental sustainability.
  4. Ethics and integrity through its Code of Ethics based on the values of legality, honesty, fairness, integrity, confidentiality, transparency and mutual respect.

The MTD Group supports the mission of the United Nations Global Compact to initiate a global movement of sustainable companies and stakeholders, with the goal of creating a future to which all can aspire.
