Our ESG commitment
Our sustainability strategy
Environmental, social and governance matters are deeply embedded in our corporate culture with sustainability representing a key element in our business model and ethical management being at the core of every corporate decision.
MTD’s commitment is developed into a concrete path forward built on a sustainability strategy based on 4 pillars, each one with a set of specific goals aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Access to care and safety for HCPs
1 ST PILLAR – IMPROVE HEALTHCARE FOCUSING ON ACCESS TO CARE AND ADHERENCE TO TREATMENTS FOR PATIENTS AND SAFETY FOR HCPs

MTD is committed to creating and developing solutions that help patients overcome the barriers that impede them from taking care of themselves. Our primary goal is to substantially increase and improve access to care for people, especially those with chronic diseases such as diabetes, through easy-to-use and highly innovative products that promote adherence to therapy and better outcomes.
We also work closely with healthcare facilities to developing medical safety devices with the aim to protect healthcare professionals, reducing to zero the risk of infections caused by accidental stings, which would have a huge impact on the entire system.
We focus on listening as our starting point to respond to people’s need – customers, patients, professionals – and to provide moments of education and awareness for healthcare workers to improve the experience of care for everyone.
Supporting people first
Thanks to continuous improvements, keeping safety in all our sites as a major priority, we ensure high safety standards for all our associates around the world and carry out specific actions to develop a culture of health throughout the entire Group.
In addition, MTD is committed to empowering people by developing skills and capabilities, enhancing well-being and promoting diversity and inclusion through educational activities. In line with this commitment, MTD has developed a specific Diversity and Inclusion Policy that clearly outlines the Group’s approach in terms of mission, strategy, and practices implemented to stimulate a supportive work environment that values people and in which everyone can express their potential, regardless of differences.
Furthermore MTD aims to build a mutual trust-based relation with its associates by listening to everyone’s needs and expectations in order to guarantee a better experience and work-life balance.
