The safety of healthcare professionals

Prevent the risk of infections

The World Health Organization estimates that there are over 35 million healthcare workers worldwide.

These HCPs face an increased risk of infection with blood-borne pathogens simply because of their exposure to blood and other body fluids. Despite a broad introduction of safety regulations over the last several decades, it is estimated that more than 2 million occupational needlestick injuries still occur each year*.

These accidental injuries can have significant short and long-term medical consequences.
