OUR HISTORY

The MTD group was founded in 2018, when Pikdare and HTL-Strefa – two leading healthcare companies with a long-standing heritage in this sector – joined forces.

PIKDARE

With its main brand Pic, Pikdare is a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of products for diabetes, specifically pen needles, venipuncture, blood pressure and temperature monitoring, nebulizer treatments and dressings.

HTL-STREFA

World leader in designing, developing and producing diabetes products for drug delivery and capillary blood sampling, with a core expertise in safety sharps. It is widely recognized as the inventor of the “safety lancet” product category.

OUR LOCATIONS

We operate in more than 100 countries globally. Headquartered in Casnate Con Bernate (Como), Italy, our offices are located in Poland, USA and France. Furthermore, we have a direct commercial presence in China, the Middle East, Spain, Portugal and Brazil.

OUR PlANts

We operate 4 industrial plants, where we produce our medical devices, for a total surface of 135,500 m2. These plants are located in Italy and Poland, and produce 16mio medical devices every day.
HTL and Pikdare plants are certified in compliance with ISO 13485.
Specifically, HTL received the FDA 510(k) clearance on its Class II medical devices;
Pikdare obtained FDA 510(k) clerance for its pen needles and insulin syringes, and is also ISO 14001 compliant.
